Mayflower, Arkansas Oil Spill With Photos

We went up to Mayflower to inspect what the hell is going on concerning the oil spill in Mayflower, Arkansas. In all honesty, the media isn’t giving this one much attention. Again, I suspect this is because it occurred in the South. CNN and the like don’t really give a damn about us. I have seen this far too many times since moving down here two years ago, and it saddens me.

Clean-up crews have pretty much taken over the town. Mayflower is not a big town at all…but seems like the Exxon and clean-up people have made it a home for awhile.

The smell was absolutely revolting. I got very sick from being there. Had problems breathing and got nauseated. If any of you have ever experienced an oil spill, you will know exactly what I am talking about.

We were not allowed to go into the neighborhood where the oil is overtaking people’s homes. There is plenty of oil in the other areas, though, and as I said…the clean-up crews are all over. Not sure what the official story is concerning how much was released, but honestly, it has to be a lot with this many people.

There is a police checkpoint before you get into the neighborhood where the homes are. We chatted with the police officer and he said it will be at least a month before anyone is allowed in the neighborhood. I don’t know if the homeowners are being allowed there, but I did see people, so I am going to assume that they are. Of course, those could have been Exxon reps, for all I know. The police officer was not happy about the situation; you could tell he was disgusted by the whole situation.

We went over to the grocery store, where one of the staging areas is located. JM spoke to one of the workers, who said that he was doing air quality tests. All in all, it was fairly busy.

This is very upsetting that this occurred in Arkansas. There was boom in Lake Conway and the creek looks like it had a lot of oil. I saw a family of ducks right next to the boom, there were babies there.

Here are some photos. I did record a video and will be uploading this to youtube this evening. It always takes me a couple of hours to upload videos because of my connection 😦

Strange rumbling sound in Arkansas?

I have been recuperating from surgery recently, so I am still in the recovery stage; however, something strange happened to us last night. I am hoping to find others hearing this noise.

JM and I went outside. It was approximately 2:30 am. We heard a low-level rumbling sound. I attempted to record this, but my phone wasn’t good enough to capture the sounds. This went on for awhile; it was at least a half-hour. We went to bed as the rumbling was still occurring. It was NOT a train…I have no idea what this sound was.

I have looked online, and it does appear that people in Louisiana and Mississippi have heard this low-level rumbling. Some hear trumpets, booms, etc. I am in southern Arkansas, for the record.

I have a VERY good audio recorder…a Zoom recorder that picks up low-level noise. I have charged it up and have my good camera charged up, also, for any video. If I hear this sound again, I will attempt to capture it. The Zoom is excellent; we have used it for paranormal research.

Maybe somebody else has heard it? Maybe? We could be going nuts. Just wondering if any other Arkansans are experiencing this. As I said, if I capture the sound, I will post it.

It’s starting to get freaky out there. After hearing the “rumbling”, my ears started ringing and I had difficulty in getting to sleep.

I was feeling off and on rumbles after that munitions explosion in Louisiana, our house shook from that. Nothing like last night, though, as this was more constant.

Stay safe out there, guys.

Loud Boom Rocks Southern Kentucky

*Watch this story…might disappear, or some weird explanation might be brought forth.*

27 NEWSFIRST started receiving phone calls tonight telling us a loud boom, or series of booms were heard this evening in Southern Kentucky.

So we called emergency officals, to find out what is going on.

Brian Reams of the Laurel county EMS tells us they’ve had calls from Jackson to London, about a loud boom.

He says there are no reports of any injuries or damage.

In the last little bit, Reams says he’s been told by the state police in London that according to the FAA, the boom is from falling debris, coming from two satellites that collided in space.

The debris re-entering the atmosphere caused the loud boom, and then burned up before hitting earth.

Reams says it could have covered a 500 mile area.

UPDATE…

Okay. First they said there was a damn plane crash…

Now they are saying there is NOT a crash.

I have no idea.
