The Mood-May 4th, 2013

For the past 48 hours or so, the mood has not been good. I don’t know what is happening, but I’m getting those bad feelings again. I go out in public, and people aren’t happy, other than the cashier I dealt with last night. He seemed to be happy…but most others seemed out of it or not thrilled.

Not sure what is happening. Heads up, don’t have a good feeling. I don’t know, is the sun doing something today??

Mood Alert-September 8th-9th, 2010

Once again New Moon forces will be dominant with forceful and powerful emotions. These may tend to aggressive or belligerent moods and feelings with the risk of contentious encounters, arguments and volatile expression. At the same time there may be an abundance of strong nervous restlessness and energy that may be difficult to control or utilise to good effect.

Today sees a massive alignment of the Moon and Saturn, both of which will be in opposition to Uranus and Jupiter. This is likely to create a wide spectrum of moods and emotions. In particular there will be the restrained and calculated nature of Saturn, with its more demure, restricted, and limited emotional range, with the likelihood of depressive, or pessimistic moods and feelings laden with insecurity and doubt.

Balancing this will be the joy and exuberance of Jupiter with its generous, humorous, and expansive nature, as well as an exaggerated sense of adventure that may tend to reckless activity of an extreme nature.

Then again the bizarre and out of the ordinary characteristics of Uranus will ensure that moods will tend towards extreme or unusual circumstances with the possibility of friction and agitation within the family setting. Indeed any Moon/Uranus alignment has the potential for crisis, with challenging moods and circumstances that can be out of the top category of mood unsettling forces.

This period also sees the beginning of the opposition between Mercury and Neptune. This will be influential for just over a week and likely mood traits include sensitive and easily disturbed emotions with a tendency to confused or absent-minded thinking with vague fears and imaginings. There may also be a subtlety of feeling with intuitive, refined and idealistic emotions with a high degree of creative ability.

All in all this is a vibrant and complex period with contrasting feelings that for some could prove difficult. On the other hand it offers quite definite energy to see and experience things in a unique way that may open doors to new thoughts and ideas.

Alert is 8. Moon 0% illuminated.

It should also be remembered that we are still very much under he influence of the Uranus/Jupiter alignment. This is an extremely slow moving alignment that will be with us for the rest of the year, and occurs only once every 14 years. Likely mood traits include a strong deviation from the norm with the possibility of highly original, creative thought and ideas with eccentric and out of character emotions and feelings.

Unfortunately this may also include drastic and extremely anti-social  compensation for personal inadequacies leading to extreme events and happenings

Because this alignment is so very slow moving many of its traits and inclinations will be absorbed and taken for granted, but they will still be present and will add considerable variety to the months ahead.

Both Jupiter and Uranus are also in opposition to Saturn. Since April this has created a disciplined but formative period of growth with reasoned, inspired, but controlled effort and persistence. This is likely to give rise to highly original ideas and present opportunities that may not otherwise have arisen. As such this will have important implications for the world of science and technology, as well as opening awareness to religious and philosophical impulses that may previously have been ignored.

Meanwhile the effects of Saturn and Uranus upon one another will likely tend to alternating moods that vary between depressive and nervously tensed emotions within a very short time. This may also bring out a tendency to egotism and cruelty.

Naturally this alignment will also be cross influenced by other alignments to distort, enhance, or lower its effects, but to some extent the background element of its effects will remain until the 22nd of September when this alignment finally dissipates.

Increased earthquake activity follows massive planetary alignment.

The massive planetary alignment earlier this month that saw an almost unprecedented situation of all the planets of the Solar System in some way aligned with the Earth, seems to have sparked intense seismic activity. This is of course just what you would expect and what we have observed on dozens of other occasions; namely that planetary alignments do result in a corresponding rise in earthquake activity.

Below is a list of a remarkable number of powerful earthquakes within the last three weeks or so. Due to their remote location almost none of these made headlines, and there was little if any damage, or loss of life.

The fact is that if either one of these tremblors had occurred close to a major centre of population in a so called third world nation the casualty figures would have been enormous. As it was they just passed off as peacefully and unnoticed as any earthquake of this magnitude can do.

Mood Alert, August 1st-2nd, 2010

Once again this is a mood atmosphere of high intensity though perhaps not quite as strident as even just a day ago. Nevertheless we are still in the midst of one of the years most concentrated periods of planetary alignments.

The main feature of this current alert period – as on many of the previous days is the massive alignment featuring ,Venus, Mars, Saturn, Earth, the Moon, Jupiter and Uranus. This is a relatively slow moving alignment that will remain influential for at least the next two weeks and some elements of it significantly longer.

With regard to moods and feelings there is bound to be a confusing mixture of contrasts, with the affectionate and understanding nature of Venus contrasted by the more aggressive and belligerent tones of Mars.

Then again there is the more disciplined, ambitious and calculated disposition of Saturn, with its inherent tendency towards caution, reserve, pessimism and even depression. This finds balance by the optimistic, out going, gregarious and adventurous qualities of Jupiter with its emphasis on fun loving activities, generosity and good humour.

Uranus meanwhile brings eccentric, bizarre and out of character feelings with the possibility of unsettled, agitated and disordered emotions. Uranus is also capable of enormous disruption with drastic and dramatic reactions to even mundane events and problems. It will be appreciated that moods at this time will be a confusing mixture of all these various elements that for some will pose significant challenges.

The negative side to this period is a roller coaster of feeling with hesitant and wavering moods and strong nervous restlessness as well as a far from optimal level of concentration. This could make it harder to focus on the task in hand with other more attractive alternatives of an escapist nature making it difficult to keep to a well ordered routine.

On the more positive side this period offers an open book of ideas and possibilities, whether conscious or subconscious, and forms – whether for better or worse – a pivotal and decisive period in ones future course of development.

Alert is 8. Moon 69% illuminated.

Disturbances likely

Times of heightened planetary alignment almost inevitably lead to a corresponding rise in natural disasters, social turmoil and headline events the world over. As such  this current celestial situation is likely to be no exception and its sheer  magnitude means that for the next month or so there is the likelihood of extreme  events and happenings that will add significant colour to news bulletins everywhere.

Massive  alignment.

Currently  we are influenced by a massive alignment featuring Venus, Mars, Saturn, Earth, Jupiter and  Uranus, and constitutes one of the biggest alignments witnessed since Mood Alert first began.

Predicting likely  moods from this gathering is far from easy

Certain to say there will be a confusion of moods and feelings with contrasting  inclinations and competing emotions that are likely to represent a roller coaster of feeling that will range between various extremes. For example Mars is  now coming into alignment with Saturn and this is likely to create self- assertive but disciplined emotions with practical, controlled, or limited  feelings. However there may also be a severe or ambitious edge to inclinations with unscrupulous, selfish, cruel or even violent behavioural patterns.

In the next  24 hours this will be balanced by the gentler more affectionate feelings of  Venus. At the same time Jupiter may offer a more affable , generous and fun  loving mood environment, though, as mentioned many times here the planet is in  long term alignment with Uranus. This is creating strong deviation from the norm  that although capable of inventive and highly innovative thought, is also prone to drastic anti-social compensation for personal inadequacies.

To complicate matters further we are now at the height of the alignment  between Neptune, Earth and Mercury. This will continue to active for at least  the next week or so and is likely to result in sensitive mental expression with vague, idealistic and imaginative emotional impulses. In addition there may be confused, absent-minded, dishonest, and chaotic feelings interspersed with vague  fears and imaginings.

Mood Alert July 30th-31st, 2010

We are now at the height of one of the most concentrated periods of planetary alignments for quite some time – indeed probably the biggest alignment period since Mood Alert first started over 8 years ago.

Of particular note is the massive alignment featuring Venus, Mars, Saturn, Earth, the Moon, Jupiter and Uranus. Also of note is the alignment involving Neptune, Earth and Mercury. There is lso the effects of a geomagnetic storm to contend with.

For more effects of this massive alignment see below

Today also sees the opposition of the Moon and Mars and Saturn. With such a wide diversity of influence it is bound to be difficult to come to an accurate prediction for likely moods and feelings. However the sheer complexity of the situation guarantees a confusing, frustrating and highly challenging mood atmosphere with contrasting emotions that are likely to range between various extremes.

Certainly this is a heady cocktail of moods and feelings that for some may prove unsettling, and with the Moon currently in opposition to Mars there is likely to be an element of raised aggression and belligerence.

On the other hand the influence of Saturn will at least bestow restraint, discipline and control, but with the potential for doubtful, pessimistic and insecure emotions that may tend towards depression or an overly bleak view of ones prospects. Then again there is the quirkiness of Uranus to contend with. This can give rise to eccentric, out of character emotions with drastic and dramatic solutions to even mundane problems of an everyday nature. In the next 24 hours the influence of Uranus becomes all the more heightened as it aligns with the Moon and this is out of the top category of mood unsettling influences with the potential for major disruption.

All in all this is an almost unprecedented period of celestial complexity. The negatives include aggressive unpredictable, and unduly pessimistic inclinations, whereas the positives are likely to see determined, inspired and original ideas that have the potential for life altering changes of direction.

As mentioned in the previous alert this atmosphere also forms a time of pivotal importance, so that ones personal life will be shaped and changed, either to a subtle or major extent – for better or worse – but either way emerge with an altered perspective as well as altered personal horizons.

MOOD ALERT July 28th-29th, 2010

28th – 29th July 2010

As mentioned in previous alerts we are now coming to one of the years most concentrated periods of planetary alignments. Indeed just two days after the Full  Moon we are in the midst of a massive conjunction featuring Venus, Mars, Saturn, Earth, Jupiter and Uranus. In addition we are at the peak of the alignment featuring Mercury, Earth and Neptune.

Essentially it means that all of the major planets of the Solar System are now in alignment with the Earth – an exceedingly rare event, that is a first since Mood Alert began. Indeed the first mentioned alignment above is the most enormous we have ever reported on and gives some indication of the uniqueness of this current period.

With regard to moods and emotions this will inevitably be a period of the utmost complexity. The lingering effects of the Full Moon will still be evident contributing to tense, nervous restlessness with heightened awareness,  perception and also raised apprehensions and anxiety.

As with any Full Moon situation there will also be more belligerent, aggressive and confrontational moods with the potential for arguments and contentious encounters. Strong feelings are likely though these will to some extent be moderated by the influence of Venus. This may introduce more sympathetic and understanding emotions with affectionate and caring inclinations that will help to calm the harsher elements of this alert period. Inevitably with such an enormously complex celestial situation there will be a wide contrast of moods and inclinations some of which may tend to cancel each other out. In reality however the interpretation of this unique celestial  situation could run to book length.

A summary of likely emotions (already published) is included below, but certain to say this  mood environment is bound to evoke some degree of confusion, chaos, and frustration. Negatives include a hesitant, uncertain and vague outlook with poor concentration, whereas the positives see a more imaginative, powerful, resourceful and inventive disposition that may see solutions to problems that may not otherwise have been possible.

Whatever the case this is a unique mood atmosphere that will offer substantial challenges as well as rewards and will be of pivotal importance (for better or worse) in framing ones future course of development.

Alert is 8.5. Moon 96% illuminated.

Mood Alert July 19th-20th

*Something is happening…*

Daily Mood Alert.

19th – 20th July 2009

This is a mood scenario very similar to the previous day. As such the dominating factor is the proximity of the New Moon which is now just a matter of several days away. Moods are correspondingly filled with tense nervous restlessness. In addition there will be increased anxiety and tension together with growing apprehension, stress and worry.

Inevitably at a time like this there will be a very definite disposition to raised passions and emotions with strong moods and feelings. Arguments may be swift to develop and this contentious atmosphere may result in needless confrontation.

Coming days will see a still further increase in general tension and anxiety  and some could come to feel especially pressured. This may also lead to tensions within the family setting with the potential for major disruption.

On the more positive side this mood offers plenty of zestful energy for on going schemes and ventures with an altogether more determined and ambitious outlook.

The effects of Pluto

It should be mentioned that since early November Jupiter has been in close alignment with Pluto. We have not devoted much space to this alignment because there is some debate as to what precisely, if any, the effects of Pluto really are?

There is also some debate as to what Pluto really is. Formerly it was regarded as a planet, but has now been reclassified as a minor planet, number 134340. Unlike most of the other “planets” its discovery was quite late, and it was not until 1930 that its existence was finally confirmed, even though it had been largely predicted since 1840.

But does Pluto have any effect on moods and emotions? Here several things spring to mind. The first is that Pluto is quite remote from the Earth. The second is that Pluto is quite tiny in size – less than a fifth the mass of the Moon. Taking these two factors together it is clear that whatever effects it does have, must be slight and very subtle. The fact is we don’t really know.

As a newly discovered “planet.” there is less than a hundred years of experience to draw upon which is too little to form any firm conclusions. However the fact that Pluto does influence things is beyond doubt as it was precisely its invisible effects on other planets in the Solar system that first lead to its discovery.

You also have to take into account that because of its remoteness, alignments of Pluto with some of the other planets only come around after relatively long periods of time. For example the current Jupiter/Pluto alignment occurs only once in every 13 years, and there have been only about six since the time of its discovery. Hence any conclusions based on its mood effects must be tempered by scepticism, and this is why we have made little if any reference to this alignment. Nevertheless some authorities feel qualified to bring out likely prognostications, and with some reservation we include the likely effects of the current Jupiter/Pluto alignment which are shown below:

Jupiter/Pluto effects.

These include “the ability to make new beginnings from existing ‘worn out’ conditions…. with a tendency towards destructive, drastic, or obsessional forms of compensation for personal inadequacies.”

Mood Alert February 4th

4th – 5th February 2009

This is yet another of two or three days of a broadly similar emotional outlook.

As we mentioned yesterday this atmosphere sits between two separate and distinct mood blocks. One is the so called ‘doldrum period’ between the New Moon and Full Moon, and the other is the emerging emotions associated with the impending Full Moon in four or five days time.

With regards to moods and feelings we find an atmosphere very similar to the previous alert period. That is for moods that vary between a disposition to easy disappointment and disillusionment to feelings of an altogether more robust and zestful nature.

With regard to the more depressive side of this alert pattern there is likely to be some tendency towards reduced self confidence and enthusiasm so that getting going may require above average exertion and determination.

Under these circumstances there may be a perplexing mixture of feelings with a disposition that may at times appear keen and enthusiastic, but lacking that spark of initiative that would make the best possible use of these feelings. Some degree of irritability and impatience may be apparent and there may be an urgent sense of restlessness, with a tendency to complicate problems or turn them over in ones mind so that they assume undue dimensions.

Coming days are likely to see a change towards more strident, aggressive,  and forceful mood impulses with stronger enthusiasm and determination, but also the potential to become confused with lowered concentration and focus.

At the moment there may be a loathing for making major decisions which will tend to be postponed if at all necessary and there may be a similar distaste for assuming positions requiring a high degree of responsibility. The reality is that decisions and choices may be made on instinct, or on the spur of the moment rather than well considered deliberation. Inevitably this may lead to major mistakes or financial losses or else commit oneself to a course of events that one may later regret.

Alert is 7.5. Moon 65% illuminated.

Cycle 24 is underway

The latest Sun spot cycle is now underway. The Sun’s activity is never quite constant and for reasons not fully understood corresponds to a cycle that takes 11 years to complete. We are currently exiting a period of low Solar activity and beginning the slow journey to the peak of Cycle 24 that will occur sometime between 2010 and 2012. For more on this please go to the following link: Cycle 24 begins.
