Orbs at Basin Park Hotel-Eureka Springs, Arkansas

This was a rather odd occurrence at the Basin Park Hotel ghost tour in Eureka Springs, Arkansas on July 3rd, 2012. There was a concentration of orbs that were around a certain door in the hotel. Our tour guide, I believe her name was Meg (my memory is starting to go, unfortunately!) told us a story about that particular area. I wish I could remember what floor it was on. Anyway, I won’t claim to you it is paranormal, but these things were exhibiting odd behavior. We used several pieces of equipment, tried opening the door to kick up dust, etc. There were EMF readings ON the door. The noises you hear in the background are the sounds of the Ovilus and the EMF detector; one of the “lights” you see isn’t paranormal, but our thermometer to measure the temperature of the door. Please forgive the initial orientation of the video; I fix that about a minute in and it looks normal again. Video taken with an infrared camera. After taking these videos, I got this photo later on: http://www.paranormalarkansas.com/2012/07/08/basin-park-hotel-eureka-springs-ar/

Enjoy, and make a trip there if you can! Can’t wait to go back and do a proper investigation.

Strange lights appear in the sky above Utah County

*I found this very interesting, as the situation where Dugway Proving Grounds was shut down is in the county right next to this situation, on the SAME NIGHT.*

AMERICAN FORK, Utah (ABC 4 News) – Reports of strange lights in the night sky have people in Utah County talking about UFO’s. Three red lights appeared between 7:15 and 7:30 last night. Witnesses say they hovered in formation and dropped what appeared to be flares.

Haunted Arkansas?

Hi everyone, looking for anyone that can help me out with haunted locations in central Arkansas, OUTSIDE of Little Rock. Sheridan, Prattsville, Ico, Redfield, Leola, Poyen and the like are the locations I am interested in. If you have any information, whether it be an old folk tale or whatever, PLEASE contact me. I am willing to do investigations. I have done investigations in Ohio, West Virginia, Iowa, Illinois and Canada. Thank you, I recently moved here a couple of months ago and really want to get back into this. ANY location, any information is very appreciated. No Little Rock, please; there are plenty of people willing to go to LR.

My email is heidilore@gmail.com

THANK YOU!!

October 17th, 2010. One of the weirdest times ever.

Jerod and I decided, very spontaneously, to go to Marfa, Texas in the middle of the night. Marfa is a place known for a mysterious light phenomenon that nobody can really understand, and we really wanted to see it. It should be mentioned that Marfa is not exactly close to here, over three hours, to be exact. Grabbed the blackberry GPS and just left. Going down I-20 isn’t so bad, not traumatic so to speak, but damn…once you get to 67 and 385? WOW. Freaky. Not a well populated route, very little traffic, and a ton of negative feelings in that area. I was not fond of the drive or the route. When we got to Marfa, discovered a little viewing center that they have set up for the purpose of seeing these lights. There were a couple of people already there, and they were totally baffled. They were trying to figure out what the hell they were observing. I must say they really need more maintenance at this viewing center. A couple of the lights were burned out and were making very creepy sounds that, at first, scared me. As I was looking out at the clearing, I saw these lights…and it almost seemed as if they were sentient lights. There would be one light, and then another would show up, and they would interact with one another. At another point, a third light joined in and almost…danced. That is the best way I can describe this. It was strange, yet beautiful, and I got no negative feelings from the experience. In fact, I believe I walked away from it more spiritually in tune. I loved it, and I do recommend that if you have a chance, go and see this. As I understand it, not everyone sees this, so I feel especially blessed.

There is an old air field right next to the viewing center; this thing is a little unusual, in that there is a figure of a rocket that can be seen from space. Just add it to the other bizarre stuff around here…

Now, the trip back?? This is a different story. The cell phones lost signal, so we were rather…lost. We ended up kinda south, I guess we were not far from the Mexican border. Just driving along, on a very deserted road. A car was following us. We were starting to get a little freaked out, because the car would slow down and then come very close to us. All of a sudden, lights came on the top of the car, and it turned out to be *cue ominous music* the US Border Patrol. They asked us what the hell we were doing there, explained to them we were watching the Marfa lights, thinking they would let us go on our way. WRONG. They searched the car. They asked us all kinds of questions; took Jerod’s license and insurance papers, took my passport. They asked us the same questions more than once. Then, they told us to wait in the car…why? So they could bring in dogs to smell the car. Ugh. The whole thing took more than a half hour. At that point, it was around 3am. I asked them questions, as I do not like border patrol harassing without having a reason. They never bothered to answer my questions.

Driving around, all of a sudden this weird…creature? I don’t know how the hell to describe it. It was large and black, and it swooped down from the sky. Both of us saw it, but hell if we could make out features or anything, because once it was there, it was gone. It was big, though, so if it was a bird it would have had to be gigantic.

Saw plenty of deer, that is for sure…

I saw several things I originally suspected were meteors, but now I am not so sure. They were orbs of light, not like a normal meteor streaking. Can’t necessarily call them UFOs, because I just don’t know, but I doubt they were meteors. I have seen plenty of meteors in my life, none behaved like that.

We ended up in Crane, Texas, somehow. We had taken the wrong way. Jerod was so busy looking at the damn churches he didn’t realize how fast he was going. He was speeding, and here comes the cop. ;) We were stopped and given only a warning, thank God.

Finally ended up back in Odessa around 6:00am. It should not have taken that long. That was some crazy stuff…life is usually pretty crazy around me, though. It was interesting!!

Unusual object in night sky baffles Montrealers

*Exact same thing Patrick and I saw three years ago, in the same city. It was reported to MUFON.*

A mysterious object in the sky over Montreal this week is getting a lot of attention, including from a respected Montreal doctor who believes he saw something “out of this world.”

Several people in the Cote St. Luc neighbourhood called authorities early Wednesday morning about a strange blinking light hovering high in the sky.

Dr. Cleve Ziegler, an obstetrician-gynecologist, spotted the object when he was driving home from work around 12:30 a.m. He couldn’t believe his eyes.

“There were many little sparkly red and blue lights. It had a changing shape, morphing from something that looked triangular to something that looked like a trapezoid. It was not a stable shape,” Ziegler told CBC News.

“It was coming closer and [then moved] farther, it was turning and rotating.”

He then saw other people looking up at the same thing, including a man who told him his wife was so spooked that she scurried home.

“I’m a guy who spends a lot of time in the country in the summer. I have seen satellites. I’ve seen falling stars. I know what a plane looks like. None of those things had the trajectory or motion that this did,” said Ziegler.

Ziegler called police, who had already received several other calls about the mysterious object in the sky. He forwarded a dark, poor-quality video he took on his cellphone to authorities.

He admits the video doesn’t do justice to what he saw.

“What I saw was compelling, unusual and you had this visceral sense looking at it that this is a once-in-a lifetime thing,” he said. “At a risk of sounding Hollywood and shlocky, it was kinda not of this world.”

Object likely man-made: astronomer

Theories about what was in the sky Wednesday night have already started circulating among astronomy buffs and experts.

Andrew Fazekas, a director at the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, said the object was likely of this world.

“From the description, definitely I would say it is not something astronomical. It’s not a satellite. And it’s not a star or anything like that,” said Fazekas.

“It could have been some sort of balloon.… Strobe lights on a private? A powerful laser?”

Fazekas said the sightings are getting a lot of attention.

“It is starting to make the rounds and getting viral because people are naturally interested in unidentified things in the sky. People are drawn to it,” said Fazekas.

Police close brief investigation

Montreal police received several calls about a mysterious object in the sky after midnight Wednesday morning.

Const. Daniel Lacoursière said Trudeau Airport reported nothing on the radar in that area at the time.

He posed another theory. Around the same time, helicopters were buzzing around the site of a fuel spill at the Port of Montreal in the other end of town.

Ziegler said he doesn’t believe in extraterrestrial life, but thinks he did see something otherworldly.

“It’s not like I want to believe this,” he said.

New Crop Circle!!

Herewith the first crop circle of 2010. It is in oil seed rape and measures approx: 180 foot diameter.  It is a circle containing six arcs intercepted by a small circle surrounded by a larger circle. A lozenge shape lies alongside the sixth arc with seven circles lying in an arc below.  It lies below the ancient Hill Fort Old Sarum in Hampshire.  Sadly due to the fact that it lies in Boscombe Military Air space it is also directly below the helicopter low flight approach zone, the images were taken from 2000 feet and also the crop is not yet in full bloom so the imprint is poor.

DND, RCMP mum on UFO mystery

*As the RCMP says, it is a confirmed “something” lol*

People who saw a missile-like object soaring through the sky over a small rural community in Newfoundland Monday night are getting no answers about what it was, although police say they’d gotten to the bottom of the mystery.

Darlene Stewart spotted the object while taking pictures of the sunset over Harbour Mille, a community of about 200 residents on the south coast of the province. She says she started snapping photos.

She then called her neighbour, Emmy Pardy, and the two women, along with Stewart’s husband, say they saw three similar objects flying through the air minutes apart, one up close and two farther off in the distance.

“I really did get sick to my stomach, I was shaking when I seen it,” Stewart told CBC News Wednesday. “We were just in awe of what we seen.”

The photos taken by Stewart show blurry pictures of what appears to be a long, round object, much like a missile, seemingly rising from the ocean, with either smoke or flames shooting out the back end.

Objects made no noise

Stewart said the objects didn’t make any noise.

“We confirmed that it was something,” Sgt. Wayne Edgecombe told CBC News Wednesday. But Edgecombe said he couldn’t reveal what the police investigation uncovered.

He said the focus of any police investigation is on whether something criminal has occurred.

“It’s nothing criminal,” he said, in relation to the unidentified object.

Edgecombe said he contacted the Department of National Defence and “they gave me some info,” but he said that it is up to that department to release the information publicly.

Defence department officials were refusing comment.

The sighting has intrigued people in the Harbour Mille area, with some saying they were told by officers who were in the community Tuesday investigating the sightings, that the objects were test missiles launched from the nearby French islands of St. Pierre and Miquelon.

Edgecombe said that rumour is completely false.

The suggestion that the object possibly involved the military has Liberal MP Gerry Byrne, who represents the Newfoundland riding of Humber-St. Barbe-Baie Verte, demanding answers.

“There’s a credible body of evidence,” Byrne told CBC News, “that suggests there’s something spectacular happened off of our shore. Before this goes any farther, I think the government needs to actually respond very quickly with a straightforward, factual statement.”

Was safety in jeopardy?

Byrne said if it was some kind of military test, then people should be told whether their safety was jeopardized.

“If indeed this was a man-made object, that it was a missile, was there any potential risk to health and safety from collateral damage should the missile fire have failed?”

Byrne used the mystery to take a shot at the federal government for proroguing Parliament. He said if the House of Commons was opened, he’d be able to question the ministers of defence, transport and public safety about the incident.

“It’s cloaked in relative secrecy,” he said. “And the only way to get around that secrecy is a special institution called the floor of the House of Commons.”

Stewart said Tuesday she has been overwhelmed by the number of calls she has received about the sighting. But she said nobody has told her officially what it was that she saw.

“I would like to get to the bottom of it,” she said.
