Another scary dream…Dec 29, 2009

*I woke up crying. This one really did mess me up.*

I was in a really old house. It was in Sweden. I was forced to be with Satan. He was wanting me to do terrible things, like hurt other people and have sex with him. I kept holding back on the sex, because I was afraid of what I would become. He kept telling me that I would see the “light” if I had sex with him, that I would know everything, but I was afraid. I had seen one of the rooms, and it was pure evil, like a torture room or something. One of his minions was following me around constantly. There was going to be some sort of battle. He wanted to attack God and two angels. He made me come with, it was on a strange street. God was on a bicycle with the angels. Suddenly, somehow, Satan shot him and the light left God and the angels. I was crying my eyes out because I thought that God was my only hope, to help me. I knew then that everything was over. Satan told me I needed to watch for three earthquakes, I was looking at a map. The three earthquakes were to happen, they would be small, but it would show he was coming. Two of the earthquakes would be in the Arctic or near Scandinavia, one would be in Russia. They were not going to be huge, but they would be a sign.

Eerie outpost unnerves US Marines with strange lights and whispers in the night

The Marines found the bone as they scraped a shallow trench. Long, dry and unmistakably once part of a human leg, it was followed by others. They reburied most of them but also found bodies. Three of the graves were close together; in another was a skeleton still wearing a pair of glasses. The Marines covered the grave and told their successors to stay away from it.

Observation Point Rock sits a few hundred metres south east of Patrol Base Hassan Abad, where a company from 2/8 Marines has been stationed for the past seven months. It is a lonely and exposed outpost 20 metres (65ft) above the surrounding landscape, which has been in Nato hands since it was captured from the Taleban in 2008.

Groups of Marines are posted to guard it, usually for a couple of months at a time, and “the Rock” has acquired a peculiar reputation. American troops widely refer to it as “the haunted Observation Point”.

It is hard to say how much the 100F (38C) heat, round-the-clock guard shifts and months spent living in trenches and peering out of sandbagged firing points have gilded the legend of OP Rock. The only break from the tedium, apart from dog-eared magazines and an improvised gym, has been small-arms or rocket-propelled grenade attacks from the Taleban, usually on a Sunday morning.

But as Sergeant Josh Brown, 22, briefed his successor when a detachment of men from Golf Company was swapped for an incoming contingent from Fox Company, he warned of the strange atmosphere and inexplicable phenomena that plagued OP Rock. “The local people say this is a cursed place,” he said. “You will definitely see weird-ass lights up here at night.”

Others in the outgoing unit had reported odd sounds. “It is weird what you hear and don’t hear around here,” he added.

Each successive detachment that guards the Rock appears to add its own layer to the legend, which has spread through the Marine units pushing into southern Helmand.

There is talk of members of the Taleban entombed in caves below; the bodies buried on the summit are identified confidently as dead Russian soldiers from the ill-fated Soviet invasion.

Corporal Jacob Lima’s story is the latest addition. One night he was woken by the sound of screaming. It was Corporal Zolik, a Marine who has since been moved to a unit farther south. “He was yelling and begging me to go up to the firing point he was guarding,” Corporal Lima, 22, told the men taking over from him. “When I got there he said that he was sitting there when he heard a voice whisper something in his ear. He said it sounded like Russian. He begged me to stay in there with him till he was relieved from guard duty. After that he really didn’t like standing post up there.”

The Marines’ predecessors, a unit of Welsh Guards, also produced tales of the unexpected. “The Brits claimed to see weird things, hear noises,” Corporal Lima said. “Lots of them said it’s creepy at night, especially from midnight till 4am. You see a lot of unexplained lights through night-vision goggles.”

Its elevation has clearly made the Rock a natural defensive position for centuries. It is not a rock, though it resembles one. Medieval arrow slits and the remains of fortified turrets on its eastern flank show that this was once a large mud fort that collapsed in on itself and was probably built upon in turn. The locals say that it dates back to Alexander the Great, and another similar structure is visible in the distance to the south, part of a supposed line of such forts built at some point in Afghanistan’s history of invasion and war.

When US Marines seized the post last summer they dropped a 2,000lb (900kg) bomb on one side, collapsing part of the structure on to what its current occupants claim was a cave where Taleban fighters were sheltering.

“This place really sucks,” said Lance Corporal Austin Hoyt, 20, putting his pack on to return to the main base. “The Afghans say it’s haunted. Stick a shovel in anywhere and you’ll find bones and bits of pottery. This place should be in National Geographic — in the front there are weird-looking windows for shooting arrows. You know, they say the Russians up here were executed by the Mujahidin.”

He looked meaningfully at his successors and prepared to leave.

More than 100 whales die in strandings

More than 120 whales have died in separate beachings on New Zealand’s two main islands.

The Department of Conservation says 21 pilot whales will be buried by Coromandel Maori on Monday after dying when they became stranded on Sunday.

Sixty-three whales, mostly cows with calves, beached themselves at Colville Bay, north of Coromandel township, on the North Island’s east coast.

The 3-4 metre whales were seen by fishermen struggling about 300m offshore around 6am and they called emergency services.

About two thirds were saved by locals and holidaymakers who kept the surviving whales wet in the low tide until it rose in the early afternoon and they could be refloated.

DOC spokeswoman for the area Lyn Williams said none of those whales had returned to the beach overnight.

“They were last seen they were swimming healthily out to the ocean,” she said.

One of the cows gave birth to a calf almost immediately after being refloated.

The 21 dead whales were being watched over last night by local iwi Ngati Tamatera before a burial ceremony today.

Meanwhile, 105 long-finned pilot whales died at Farewell Spit at the top of the South Island on Saturday.

DOC Golden Bay biodiversity program manager Hans Stoffregen told The Southland Times none of the stranded pod survived.

Because the site is in a natural reserve, the whale carcasses have been left to decompose.

Expert says clogged Philippine volcano could burst

LEGASPI, Philippines: Rumbling Mayon volcano in the Philippines is showing signs of becoming clogged with lava and could erupt explosively, a government volcanologist said Saturday.

The volcano, which has been oozing lava for weeks, is also emitting gas and ash, all signs of a powerful eruption any day now, said Ed Laguerta, head of the government’s volcanology team monitoring Mayon.

“Mayon volcano is still in a high state of unrest and in the coming days it could still have an explosive eruption,” he warned in a radio interview.

“The number of (volcanic) quakes have lessened but now the quakes are of a different variety. What is becoming clear is that it (the volcano) is getting clogged. That is when the lava is rising but cannot get out,” he said.

“The edifice looks inflated so we cannot say that the actual activity of Mayon has decreased,” he said.

“Just because the volcano looks calm… it does not mean its activity is decreasing. We cannot be off our guard. After this calm period, it could explode with even more force,” Laguerta added.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said it had kept Mayon on alert level four, meaning a hazardous eruption may occur within days.

It warned people to stay away from river channels and other areas that might possibly be hit by volcanic mudflow in the event heavy rain falls on Mayon.

The government has evacuated more than 47,000 people living around the volcano, about 330 kilometres (200 miles) southeast of Manila, since it began belching smoke and oozing lava earlier this month.

The evacuees are housed in 28 makeshift centres – mostly government schools – and could remain there for more than a month until the volcano settles, said Jukes Nunez, director of the disaster preparations office.

There are still a few people who refuse to leave the danger zone but Nunez said they were at the fringes of the zone and were not directly threatened.

However, he warned that the evacuees would need to find new shelters when schools reopen in January after the Christmas holidays.

Governor Joey Salceda, whose province includes Mayon, said in a television interview that he plans to set up a tent city for those who evacuated the area around the volcano.

The 2,460-metre (8,070-foot) volcano, which is famed for its near-perfect cone, has erupted 48 times in recorded history. In 1814, more than 1,200 people were killed as lava buried the town of Cagsawa.

Yet another goofy dream

Lately, I have been dreaming of a location I am not familiar with. I am in a lush, green environment, surrounded by hills. Last night, I was in this location. I was looking up at the sky. There was something, like a ship or a satellite, that was quite low in the atmosphere. It was red, and quite striking. It was so low that myself and my mother were terrified.

I wish I had a clue where this place is, and why I keep dreaming of it…

FBI probes report of fireworks igniting aboard jet at Metro Airport

Romulus — A passenger aboard a Northwest Airlines flight from Amsterdam set off fireworks as the plane landed at Metro Airport Friday afternoon, according to CNN.

The FBI has dispatched agents to investigate the incident, according to agency spokeswoman Sandra Berchtold.

The flight, with 178 passengers aboard, landed safely. The man reportedly received minor injuries when other travelers aboard the flight attempted to subdue him.

North Magnetic Pole Moving East Due to Core Flux

Earth’s north magnetic pole is racing toward Russia at almost 40 miles (64 kilometers) a year due to magnetic changes in the planet’s core, new research says.

The core is too deep for scientists to directly detect its magnetic field. But researchers can infer the field’s movements by tracking how Earth’s magnetic field has been changing at the surface and in space.

Now, newly analyzed data suggest that there’s a region of rapidly changing magnetism on the core’s surface, possibly being created by a mysterious “plume” of magnetism arising from deeper in the core.

And it’s this region that could be pulling the magnetic pole away from its long-time location in northern Canada, said Arnaud Chulliat, a geophysicist at the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris in France.

Finding North

Magnetic north, which is the place where compass needles actually point, is near but not exactly in the same place as the geographic North Pole. Right now, magnetic north is close to Canada’s Ellesmere Island.

Navigators have used magnetic north for centuries to orient themselves when they’re far from recognizable landmarks.

Although global positioning systems have largely replaced such traditional techniques, many people still find compasses useful for getting around underwater and underground where GPS satellites can’t communicate.

The magnetic north pole had moved little from the time scientists first located it in 1831. Then in 1904, the pole began shifting northeastward at a steady pace of about 9 miles (15 kilometers) a year.

In 1989 it sped up again, and in 2007 scientists confirmed that the pole is now galloping toward Siberia at 34 to 37 miles (55 to 60 kilometers) a year.

A rapidly shifting magnetic pole means that magnetic-field maps need to be updated more often to allow compass users to make the crucial adjustment from magnetic north to true North.

Wandering Pole

Geologists think Earth has a magnetic field because the core is made up of a solid iron center surrounded by rapidly spinning liquid rock. This creates a “dynamo” that drives our magnetic field.

(Get more facts about Earth’s insides.)

Scientists had long suspected that, since the molten core is constantly moving, changes in its magnetism might be affecting the surface location of magnetic north.

Although the new research seems to back up this idea, Chulliat is not ready to say whether magnetic north will eventually cross into Russia.

“It’s too difficult to forecast,” Chulliat said.

Also, nobody knows when another change in the core might pop up elsewhere, sending magnetic north wandering in a new direction.

Today is not so good…

I am having some horrible pains, and feeling terribly fatigued.

I think I know what it is, you can laugh at me if you wish…

My spirit does not want to move forward, to 2010. Somehow, some way, I know that it is going to be bad for humanity and the earth, even myself emotionally, so my spirit doesnt want to go there, so to speak. It is trying to remain in 2009. Of course, it must move forward…

I am feeling something, something very heavy coming along, so much restlessness and anger building.

Keeping calm, and trying to meditate…

2010 Predictions

Massive flooding throughout North America and Europe, due to the winter’s above-normal precipitation. The UK is going to have horribly strange weather patterns, as are areas such as Oklahoma, Missouri and North Carolina.

A series of SMALL earthquakes will rattle the Midwest area, with people becoming nervous about it. I dont think it is the big one, but it will cause nervous feelings.

Hurricane will hit Eastern Canada in the summer.

I do not anticipate disclosure in 2010. What I do expect is that people in the “know” regarding aliens and UFOs will have their beliefs solidified.

Another spiral-type light in the sky, in the Northern US.

Anger is starting to reach the boiling point. We are getting to the point of no return. The populace will demand their voices be heard, even via violence.

That is all I have…for now.

2 Mossad operatives institutionalized

One of the large mental health hospitals in Israel was recently surprised to receive a young, good-looking patient in a psychotic state who was accompanied by a personal security guard, Yedioth Ahronoth reported on Sunday.

The doctors, who asked why the woman was accompanied by a guard, were shocked to learn that she was a Mossad agent and that the security guard was not assigned to her in order assure her safety or protect her life, but to ensure that she not reveal any state secrets in her shaky mental state.

The Mossad guard’s orders were clear: “It is forbidden that the organization’s secrets be passed on to those unauthorized to hear them.” The doctors, who are unaccustomed to the presence of a third party during their treatment sessions, were left with no choice but to acquiesce to their demands. In addition, the staff had to receive a security clearance before being allowed to work on her exceptional case.

To their complete amazement, another young woman, also accompanied by a secret agent charged with ensuring that the she not leak any state secrets, arrived at the institution just a short time later. The doctors learned that she, too, is a Mossad agent.

Experts said Saturday that the nature of the young women’s work was most likely the cause of their psychosis.

Secrecy is key in the Israeli intelligence service. The work methods of agents is also left a mysterious for most of the public. The Mossad glossary explicitly states that agents are “handled with secret methods.”

// //

“Working under heavy mental pressures and exposure to real threats to one’s life while maintaining daily concern that one’s true identity will be revealed is likely to exact a mental price that could be manifested in a range of psychotic disorders,” said Saturday psychiatrist, Dr. Dorit Yudeshkin-Porat, head of the trauma unit at Brull Community Mental Health Center in Tel Aviv.

She added, “Among people with pre-existing genetic predispositions, this type of work could even lead to the development of psychotic states. It is safe to assume that working in the Mossad places the agent under intense daily pressures.”

“Perhaps it is connected to their work,” said a source Saturday who is familiar with the cases. “Statistically, it could also be a coincidence. If one in a hundred Mossad agents suffers from a psychotic episode, this is no different than the rate of such episodes within the general public.”

The Prime Minister’s Office reported in the name of the Mossad, “We do not provide details on the office’s activities.”
